沉默之聲

Paul Simon寫的這首歌，1964年首度發行，比我還老，我很喜歡，隱喻一個失去自由的國度...

人們交談著卻沒有說真心話
人們在聽卻沒有人真正傾聽

人們寫著一些沒有傳達真正心聲的歌曲

沒有人敢去驚擾沈默之聲。

"Fools" said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows. ...But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed In the wells of silence.
我說：「愚蠢的人啊，你們不知道沈默會像癌細胞那樣生長蔓延...但是我的話語就像無聲落下的雨滴
迴響在沈默的深井裡。

And the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made.
人們對著自己手造的霓虹神像 虔誠地鞠躬禱告。

And the sign flashed out its warning, In the words that it was forming.

然而警訊的徵兆已經閃現，在慢慢成形的話語裡，
徵兆傳著：「先知的話語是寫在地鐵的牆上 以及出租公寓的大廳裡」

耳語在沈默之聲中傳遞著。
